NYC SSPs can use their Harm Reduction Services funding to purchase fentanyl test strips. This RFP is intended to solicit responses from organizations not currently receiving funding for fentanyl test strip distribution.
This RFP builds on the Enhanced Community Engagement initiative ECE model and current fentanyl test strip distribution efforts by funding community-based programs to conduct outreach and education with local residents who use a range of non-opioid drugs, including cocaine or crack, methamphetamine, ketamine, and pressed pills from non-medical sources. The goal of this RFP is to increase awareness of fentanyl in the illicit drug supply and provide fentanyl test strips and overdose prevention training to community members who use drugs.
This RFP also aims to engage people who use drugs who are not connected to syringe dissertation funding public health programs.
